The Emotional-Sexual Dimension of Life poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 06:24 date added: June 26, 2013 language: English views: 4106; views this month: 10; views this week: 5 Dr. Sally Taylor serves the Adidam culture by helping devotees with their practice of the Way of Adidam.
In this video, she talks about her voluntary participation in Adi Da's considerations about the emotional-sexual dimension of life. She describes the instructions she received, and the profound benefit she has derived by being "grown up" beyond childish patterns of self-suppression, shutting down of the life force, promiscuity, and limitations on love.

poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 14:15 date added: July 8, 2012 language: English event speaker: Steve Alexander views: 4150; views this month: 7; views this week: 2 Steve Alexander describes his experiences of Huichol shamanism (while in his twenties), and his aspiration to become a shaman. Then, while on a Huichol pilgrimage in Mexico, "everything that could possible go wrong, did". For a "suburban kid from Los Angeles" it was like "trying to put on someone else's shoe".
Steve returned to focus on his university education in fine art. All the while, an awareness of a Divine Presence in his heart was growing. He describes how he cultivated his relationship with that Presence, even as he became increasingly aware of his own egoity and the ways it would tend to shut down that Presence.
Steve describes how his formal relinquishment of Huichol shamanism opened the door to the intensification of that Presence, and ultimately, to his devotional relationship with the human form of that Presence: Adi Da.tags: leela

A Devotee's Journey into Death and Back poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 19:59 date added: February 18, 2012 language: English event speaker: Frans Bakker listens: 3417; listens this month: 7; listens this week: 2 In December 1983, two months after Adi Da's arrival at Adi Da Samrajashram (on the island of Naitauba in Fiji), an accident occurred that would have been fatal without Avatar Adi Da's Intervention. The story of that incident is told by two people: Frans Bakker, one of the doctors involved; and Tom Closser, the devotee to whom the accident occurred, who describes his near-death experience, and a profound lesson about how "guilt" can become a self-destructive impediment to growth.

Technological Advances and the Life of the Spiritual Master poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 02:20 date added: December 9, 2011 event date: September 9, 1984 language: English listens: 3863; listens this month: 10; listens this week: 1 At Adi Da Samrajashram, Adi Da describes how the advances in technology (in photography, video recording, etc.) have made His life and work uniquely available to future generations, in a way that simply was not possible during the time of Jesus and other great Spiritual Masters.
A key responsibility of the Adidam Archives is to do the work of preserving all of the various forms of recordings and documentation that Adi Da is describing. Of particular importance at the current time is the conversion of all temporary (perishable) forms (like audiocassettes; handwritten sheets of paper — Adi Da wrote all His books in this manner; etc.) into more permanent (digital) forms of recording and record. When The Tiger Disappears poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 48:21 date added: November 9, 2011 event date: 1993 language: English listens: 4187; listens this month: 12; listens this week: 2 Adi Da contrasts the egoic model of life and love, which is based on a "victim" strategy, with the self-transcending model, which is based on self-responsibility. He describes the purpose and nature of devotional groups in serving practice of the Way of Adidam. comments: 1
Wake Up! poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 05:45 date added: July 17, 2011 language: English listens: 1973; listens this month: 5; listens this week: 2 In this audio clip (from 1987?), Adi Da passionately reiterates His Need for Instrumentality and Agency to continue the human demonstration of His Work here, and the accessibility of His Transmission.
The Sphere of My Inherent Radiance poster: AdiDaUpClose length: 15:42 date added: July 9, 2011 event date: July 3, 1988 language: English listens: 4823; listens this month: 13; listens this week: 4 In this talk, given at The Mountain Of Attention on July 3, 1988, Avatar Adi Da Samraj discourses on His Spiritual Transmission, which He describes as transcending space-time and occurring in the "True Realm of Reality". He Reveals the mystery of how it is "very easy" for Him to Spiritually Bless the entirety of the cosmos with His Transmission.
ADI DA: "If you walked into a room, and there were a light shining in the ceiling, it would be shining in all directions. You would see the light at one point, depending on your position in the room, and say 'It's shining on me', as if in some sense the lightbulb noticed you! But in fact the lightbulb is radiating in all directions indifferently. You are in a position to notice it.
Of course you had to come into the room to notice it. If you didn't come into the room, if you stood outside the room, in other words, if you stood apart from this Transmission, from My Company, through some barrier or other, of your own obstruction in mind and emotion and so on, then you wouldn't come in contact with Me, you wouldn't be able to receive this Transmission."

The crisis engendered by this realization led him to consider spiritual practice, and ultimately led him to his Spiritual Master, Avatar Adi Da Samraj.tags: leelaTerry Cafferty comments: 1
