Adidam Los Angeles Online Series: Truth For Real

The format for these on-line events is to watch a section of the discourse and then have a short discussion. These videos not only help us understand and clarify the Reality Way of Adidam, but also make available the unparalleled tradition-honored Gift of Darshan, or the sighting of the Guru. To site Avatar Adi Da in a searchless and egoless manner, is to be brought to His Domain of Love-Bliss even if you are newly introduced to Him. We are hosting these events on-line to encourage as many people from all over the world to participate. Having on-line events is a part of Avatar Adi Da's vision of a Global Ashram. No matter where you are, you can be in His Sacred Space, which is True Happiness or Freedom.

Please join us on November 21 at 5 PM. This event is for people who want to dive deeper into Avatar Adi Da's Liberating Word and Teaching, gain insights into the nature of Reality and participate in His Sacred Presence.  Led by devotees Phyllis Hyde and Tim Peterson, the study group focuses on relevant and pertinent topics in Adi Da’s Wisdom Teaching. Each month we will cover a new topic and send out a short reading assignment beforehand. Topics include:

  • The Grace of Trust
  • Positive Disillusionment
  • The Happiness That Transcends the World
  • and more

The meeting is interactive, giving all a chance to share about their process of exploring Adidam and their relationship to Adi Da.  
Furthermore, each session includes a mixture of the following:

  • A video clip of Avatar Adi Da speaking on a specific topic
  • A story (leela) related to that topic
  • Questions and discussion
  • A recitation from Adi Da's Word
  • Sighting of Adi Da's Form

2.3. More about the "Where Is Happiness?" Free Weekend Retreats


People are basically un-Happy, I have noticed. Spiritual practice or "religious" belief or "religious" commitment is traditionally proposed as a means for attaining Happiness—but the instructions associated with any "religious" or Spiritual Teaching are received by the ego, the knotted being that wants to own the Teaching, to use it, and to be made Happy by it. You think that you can seek Happiness and find It. Thus, your search for Happiness is, itself, a confession of un-Happiness.

I Am here to Tell you that you cannot Realize Happiness by persisting in un-Happiness, or the "method" of un-Happiness. All seeking is the expression, the "method", and the practice of un-Happiness.

It is not enough that what I am Saying is True. What I am Saying must also be understood by you, most profoundly. You must observe yourself, observe all of the means represented by your life, and see that you are always un-Happy, and always trying to become Happy.

That being the case, you may ask yourself, "Where is Happiness?" You might well ask!

The retreats are based on, and inspired by, the Wisdom of Adi Da Samraj and includes guided meditations, yoga lessons, video presentations, group considerations, personal stories, contemplative walks, and delicious vegetarian meals.

The retreats are hosted by a team of experienced and long time practitioners of Avatar Adi Da’s Teachings who guide the retreat program in an inspiring fashion.

All service to these retreats is offered on a volunteer basis.

We are happy that — through these retreats — we can make Adi Da's essential wisdom about the nature of Happiness available to a large audience. We hope that, in this way, we can make a contribution to the well being, peace, tolerance and enlightenment of all beings on this planet.

The complete weekend program, including workbook and materials, are offered for free. You only pay a contribution for food, drinks and your possible lodging during the weekend. Costs can differ depending on the location.
