We warmly invite you to join us for a beautiful evening of music and Good Company. Come and rejoice in the Great Mystery during this holiday season.

Our guest musical performers include Mel McMurrin, Grace Evans, Neem Wood, JoAnne Sunshine, Rich Duvall, Rick Evans, Nancy Ingram-Evans, and Richard Kane. They will offer an evening of heart-felt music, ranging from Rock to Opera, Gospel, Latin, Blues, and full-on devotional anthems.

James Steinberg

Event host James Steinberg is a religious scholar. He has been a devotee of Avatar Adi Da Samraj since 1973. He has been personally schooled by Adi Da in the entire Great Tradition of humankind's religious and spiritual literature. He is a sought-after speaker and radio program guest. He is also the author of the books, Love of the God-Man and Divine Distraction, both about the Guru-devotee relationship (on which he is a world authority). James has been Graced to live with Adi Da Samraj in His Island Hermitage, Adi Da Samrajashram in Fiji, and at The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary in California. He has represented Adi Da Samraj in meetings with spiritual luminaries worldwide, and is a regular visitor to India in completion of a variety of Sacred projects. James attended Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley, graduating in 1972. He has two daughters and lives in California.

Mel McMurrin

Mel McMurrin is a professional singer, who has covered a wide variety of styles from jazz (opening for George Benson with the a capella sextet, Corner Market); Indian style (in San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s "As You Like It"); classical (as Figaro in a PBS national broadcast of Mozart’s opera) and avant-garde (with George Coates Performance Works). He has recorded with Ray Lynch, The Bobs, The Choir at St. Ignatius, The Bungee Jumpin’ Cows, and Jaya. He has done commercial voice-over for Schwab, Novell, Gallo, Lincoln-Mercury, and Siemens. Mel is also a member of the Mummery Guild of Adidam and a key performer in performances of The Mummery Book, and has collaborated in numerous musical Sacred Offerings for Adi Da.

JoAnne Sunshine

JoAnne Sunshine has been a devotee of Adi Da for many years. She composed many of the early devotional chants used by devotees.

Grace in the Woods is the new band comprised of devotees Grace Evans and Neem Wood.
