Attention, Mind and Ego: Introduction

This video is the Introduction and part one of Beezone's educational video series on the concept of 'attention' in the teachings of Adi Da Samraj.

Beezone editor Ed Reither talks with teacher Frank Marrero.

Tasting The Moon: Part 5

Tasting the Moon: Adventures in the Meaning of Life, by Meg Fortune McDonnell, is the story of a "no holds barred” pathway through life — from the author’s eccentric childhood, through the tumult of the 1960’s, to the ashram of Adi Da Samraj, the spiritual teacher she encountered in the 70’s.

In this video series, Meg talks with her father, Robert McDonnell, about working together on the book.

Dr. Robert McDonnell (aka "Bob" or "Dad") is a Shakespeare scholar and former professor of English Literature, as well as a family therapist. He has compiled and edited five books of literary criticism (including King Lear: Text, Sources, Criticism), prior to his work on Tasting the Moon: Adventures in the Meaning of Life.

Interview conducted by Ian Griffin.

Technological Advances and the Life of the Spiritual Master

At Adi Da Samrajashram, Adi Da describes how the advances in technology (in photography, video recording, etc.) have made His life and work uniquely available to future generations, in a way that simply was not possible during the time of Jesus and other great Spiritual Masters.

A key responsibility of the Adidam Archives is to do the work of preserving all of the various forms of recordings and documentation that Adi Da is describing. Of particular importance at the current time is the conversion of all temporary (perishable) forms (like audiocassettes; handwritten sheets of paper — Adi Da wrote all His books in this manner; etc.) into more permanent (digital) forms of recording and record. You can help!

How I Fell in Love with God: Part 2

Tom Williams, a former Presbyterian minister and longtime devotee of Avatar Adi Da, tells the story of how he "fell in love with God". He describes how he moved from an ordinary childhood, to study for the ministry, to despair that his faith and his service had failed to deepen his relationship to God. In a personal crisis, he became a pastoral counselor and then a marriage and family counselor — before finally finding the books of Avatar Adi Da and at last receiving the gift of sighting his Heart-Master at the "Love of the God-Man" celebration in northern California in 1984.

Grant Children Freedom and Responsibility

In this talk, Adi Da offers guidance on how to relate and serve children in the process of fully maturing and becoming a loving, balanced human being, capable of relating to others and to the Divine Itself.

This talk excerpt can be found on the CD, Remember About Being Happy: Instructions to and about Children. On this CD, Adi Da gives humorous and loving answers to questions from children and speaks of the freedom and the responsibility that parents and guides must grant to children for the sake of their "growth and out-growing".

Beyond Sex, Science, and self

In this Adidam Revelation Discourse from January 21, 2005, Adi Da reveals that Liberation cannot ever be achieved through sex, science, or religion! And He makes the astounding assertion, “Realization has nothing to do with the body-mind.”

Watch this DVD for Adi Da's Instruction on True Freedom, which He says is discovered only in the utter transcending of “point of view”, by means of the Transmission of Reality Itself. "The 'self'-contraction, the 'point of view', the 'point-of-view'-machine and what it presumes to be Reality, the illusions of Reality created by 'point of view' — these are the important matters to be understood. The 'you' to which you refer as 'I', the ego-'I', is a 'point-of-view'-machine. It is subject to the illusions of the cosmic apparition, the illusions that 'point of view' itself is subject to — space-time, mass, and so forth."

The DVD, Beyond Sex, Science, and "self", is available from The Dawn Horse Press. Subtitles in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Dutch, Russian, Polish, Czech, and Hebrew. A CD version is also available.
