The Sacred Camel Gardens is home to a beautiful herd of Bactrian camels, and rescued horses, who wander the spacious pastures and woodlands. It is rather amazing that, in a rural mountain area near The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary in Northern California, this herd of camels are thriving and being visited by many people of all walks of life.
This video describes a new approach (consistent with traditional approaches) to engaging animals, nature, and all life, inspired by Adi Da's wisdom and love for all beings. This approach is being used to nurture the physical, emotional and spiritual lives of the camels at Sacred Camel Gardens at The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary. The development of this approach (over the last twenty years) has been led by Sacred Camel Gardens director, Stuart Camps, who illustrates the approach in this video.

A "Fear-No-More Zoo" historical compilation that includes pictures of Fear-No-More Zoo (at The Mountain Of Attention), audio clips of Adi Da speaking about the "non-humans", and pictures and video footage of Adi Da Blessing and interacting with the non-humans.
Sacred Camel Gardens Director Stuart Camps writes: "With a great love for nature and all non-humans, Adi Da has a particular fondness for camels. We don't train the camels with conventional methods. Instead, we build relationships with them, similar to the relationships they build with each other. We also hold retreats and seminars for others to visit and experience being around such friendly camels up close. This video is a simple celebration of Adi Da's wish for these camels to become a major aspect of the sacred culture developing around His Spiritual Presence."
Adi Da: "I have always envisioned The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary being characterized by camels. I want to have the camels be a major aspect of The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary, one of its special characteristics. I want camels pervading the Sanctuary."
Writes Stuart Camps (seen in the video), "Think hyperactive, A.D.D., and obsessive compulsive, and you've got something close to HiHo the camel (here at Sacred Camel Gardens), a delightfully mischievous being, full of life!"
[Note: This video was made in 2010, and at 3:15, the video refers to "retreats happening in 2010". Since everything in the video still applies to the retreats currently being offered, and no new video has been created, we felt this one would still be useful.]
