La vita umana di Avatar Adi Da è stata una continua dimostrazione del Suo Essere Illuminato, a cui ha dato il nome di "Luminoso", ovvero Luce Cosciente che è Realtà Stessa.

A cominciare dalla Sua nascita, 3 novembre 1939, a Long Island, N.Y. fino al suo abbandono del corpo, 27 novembre 2008, la sua vita è stata la storia dell'Intervento del "Luminoso" nella vita umana.

Durante la sua vita, Avatar Adi Da ha tracciato le linee per una nuova ed unica possibilità di trasformazione per ogni essere e per il mondo stesso. La Sua Rivelazione è tutta dedicata alla Realtà Divina, alla Condizione Primaria di ognuno ed ogni cosa.

Avatar Adi Da ha sempre detto che la Via da Lui Indicata è quella di una relazione che trascende l'ego, piuttosto che una tecnica in servizio all'ego stesso. La Via è fondata sul riconoscimento e la risposta a Lui Stesso. Una intuizione senza parole che va diretta al cuore di ognuno – quindi nessun credo, nessuna idea, nessuna tecnica in cerca di soddisfazione (sia materiale che spirituale). Ad ognuno che risponda a Lui, Avatar Adi Da Rivela la Condizione Vera e Divina – la Luce di Amore e Beatitudine della Coscienza Stessa.

Questo film vuol essere una introduzione alla vita di Adi Da e al Suo Insegnamento, e anche un invito ad entrare in relazione spirituale con Lui.

In this Discourse, Avatar Adi Da points out that the logic of cause-and-effect is operative not only in the conventional religious presumption that the Divine is the Cause of the world, but also in all human historical traditions—from the most ancient astrologically based cultures, to various Western philosophies, to the esoteric traditions that posit a subjective source for phenomena.

The Truth of the matter, Avatar Adi Da Reveals, is this: Everything and everyone that arises is merely an apparent modification of Reality Itself. Reality Itself is always Prior to the universe of conditional beings and things. And, ultimately, the process of Realizing Reality Itself utterly Outshines both the question of cause and the noticing of effects.

In this sobering discourse, Adi Da speaks of the condition after death in which mind determines one's circumstance, without the limitations of the body, brain and unconsciousness. He addresses the fact that where one's attention is fixed during life affects attention and destiny after life. He recommends that devotees direct their attention to sadhana so that the purification process gives one wisdom that frees one from karmic limitations.

Jedność Ludzkości (The Unity of Humankind) is an excerpt from the Avataric Discourse of August 22, 2004.

Adi Da describes how humankind is a single family, a single species in "diaspora" — dispersed across the earth as the result of migrations from a single point of origin (in Africa) thousands of years ago. Making much of superficial differences due to race, nation, religion, language, tribe, political system, etc. obscures this more fundamental, deeper reality of the unity of humankind. For the sake of everyone's survival, humankind must begin to live on the basis of its unity, and establish a global cooperative order that includes and serves everyone.

We experience "independent" existence as a kind of madness, a seeming separation from food (both because of the cutting of the umbilical cord and as a feeling of separation from our ultimate source of sustenance, the Very Divine). We must instead be like the eating gorilla. . .

Adi Da: "The eating gorilla finds a cabbage in the jungle, sits down like a slob and munches away at the cabbage, and is completely benign, completely peaceful. . . . Therefore, the eating gorilla is the image of the true man, the true woman. He demonstrates the principle of true politics, of real human existence, in which we are always presently connected to the Food Source in Truth, and are always presuming connection, relationship, 'I love you.' "

Adi Da criticized religious cultism, long before the subject gained any popular attention. (For an audio clip of His earliest criticisms — in June, 1972 — click here.) This discourse, given in 1978 at The Mountain Of Attention, is one of His summary addresses on the subject. Adi Da observes that the primary characteristic of a cult member is shared enthusiasm (like enjoying the energy of the crowd at a football game). For example, in "the cult of the Spiritual Master", everybody is enjoying the enthusiasm (their own and each other's) associated with having "found" the great Master; but no one is actually engaged in significant deepening of the devotional and spiritual relationship with the Master, and practicing on that basis — hence no Spiritual growth or Realization occurs.

Adi Da: "My purpose in My Teaching is to make it possible for you to duplicate what I have done — not to be eternally separated from Me, but to be in Communion with Me — to be intimate with Me in Spiritual terms, so that you, yourself, may live this practice, and fulfill it in your own case."
