As part of our commemoration of renowned actor Kenneth Welsh (who passed away on May 5, 2022), we have created this enjoyable "peek" inside Ken's process of preparing to play the role of narrator in the January, 2000 ten-hour long performance of The Mummery Book.

The video excerpt was edited (by Chris Tong) from a much longer, unreleased documentary (created by well-known film director, Terence Gross) about the making of The Mummery Book. (Consequently, the audio and visual quality are a little spotty in places.)

At a certain point in the process (3:02), Avatar Adi Da (“Beloved”) sits in at a rehearsal, and then begins to actively participate in making suggestions for the production. Finally (at 5:45), there is a brief glimpse of the end of the actual performance, after which Adi Da expresses His appreciation by coming up and embracing Ken.

You can learn more about Kenneth Welsh in our article, Kenneth Welsh: An Appreciation.

Light-in-Everybody is a song written for the Celebration of Light-in-Everybody, with Love and Light and Joy, and Gratitude to Heart-Master Adi Da Samraj.

Lyrics by Megan Anderson.

Music by Adam Weiss and Aura Bakker.

To every person, everywhere,
this time of year and ever,
let's bring peace and joy to all
and celebrate together.

We may seem to be different
We may seem to be many
But at the core of all our hearts
is a single human family.

Let us embrace this time of year
And let us make much beauty
Let us celebrate each other
and the light that guides us truly.

No matter what our country
No matter what our creed
Cooperation is our freedom
Indivisibility our need.

Though many peoples of the world
see differences everywhere,
The heart of beings is unfurled
when unity's declared.
Even in the darkness of the night,
All of humankind is bright
Oh when we celebrate
the Light-in-Everybody,
Light-in-Everybody.

Adi Da kritisoi uskonnollista kultismia. Hän kiteyttää sanomansa aiheesta tässä puheessa vuodelta 1978.

This discourse, "Mitä on kultismi?" ("What Is Cultism?"), was given at the Mountain Of Attention on December 16, 1978, three weeks after the Jonestown Massacre.

Adi Da criticized religious cultism long before the subject gained any popular attention. For an audio clip of His earliest criticisms — in June, 1972 — click here.

This 1978 talk is one of His summary addresses on the subject. Adi Da observes that the primary characteristic of a cult member is shared enthusiasm (like enjoying the energy of the crowd at a football game). For example, in "the cult of the Spiritual Master", everybody is enjoying the enthusiasm (their own and each other's) associated with having "found" the great Master; but no one is actually engaged in significant deepening of the devotional and spiritual relationship with the Master, and practicing on that basis — hence no Spiritual growth or Realization occurs.

Adi Da: "My purpose in My Teaching is to make it possible for you to duplicate what I have done — not to be eternally separated from Me, but to be in Communion with Me — to be intimate with Me in Spiritual terms, so that you, yourself, may live this practice, and fulfill it in your own case."

On November 2, 2013, the eve of the seventy-fourth anniversary of Avatar Adi Da’s Birth (Da Jayanthi), a live concert was held at The Mountain Of Attention Sanctuary in Northern California to celebrate His Eternal Blessing of all. The recording of this concert is now available on a CD, Ode to Divine Joy.

This audio clip contains a sample medley from the CD, featuring the voices of devotees JoAnne Sunshine ("Made by Your Hand"), Mel McMurrin ("Mary Don’t You Weep"), and Crane Kirkbride ("Ode to Divine Joy"), the voices of the Adidam Choir, and the piano-playing of Naamleela Free Jones. You can also hear the Choir singing devotee and Billboard Award-winning composer Ray Lynch's song, "This Is the Great Gift".

The rendition of Beethoven's "Ode To Joy" (retitled "Ode To Divine Joy" with new, devotional lyrics) performed during the concert was a unique fusion of two performances: the live performance and a 1990 studio recording played as accompaniment. This unique amalgam of both studio and live performances of Ode to Divine Joy, as well as all of the other pieces of the live concert included on this CD, are offered in the spirit of celebration and gratitude.

The Adidam Sacred Music Guild is happy to announce Radiance, a stunningly beautiful and powerful 2-CD set of nearly two hours of devotional music featuring live chants and sacred offerings from Adi Da Samrajashram — all recorded since Tropical Cyclone Winston hit Adi Da Samrajashram in February, 2016.

This brief excerpt is from Track 2, "Ruchira Avatara". This was recorded during the first sacred occasion in the temple, Is-Da Happen, after the cyclone. (More information about album tracks here.)

Radiance is available as a 2-CD set from the Dawn Horse Press; or as MP3 downloads from CD Baby or Amazon.com. You can listen to samples from all 12 tracks at CD Baby.

Proceeds from this album will go toward equipment for Sacred music at Adi Da Samrajashram (e.g., better amplifiers, microphones, etc.).

[If you enjoy this album, help us let others know about it! Write a review on Amazon.com or CD Baby.]

The exquisite devotional offerings on Radiance bring us all directly to Bhagavan's Holy Feet at His Great Hermitage and remind us that, despite the damage wrought by the cyclone, His Divine Presence remains Sublimely Untouched and Present there. Devotees and friends from all over the world came together to serve and restore the Holy Places and we offer this Sacred music at His Blessed Feet with all our love and devotion. All the recordings were made by the Adidam Sacred Music Guild during live occasions in the various Temples on Naitauba.

Compiled and produced by Antonina Randazzo and Caroline Lindsay; sound production by Aaron Nakagawa.

Chants composed by Chris Merz, Caroline Lindsay, Dalia Zirkiev, Antonina Randazzo, Rick Evans, Aura Bakker, Steve Brown, Jacqueline Clemons, Simon Llewelyn Evans, and Lucy Arqué.

The painting by Nara Wood on the CD cover is of the "chanting room" at Samraj Mahal (on Adi Da Samrajashram), where countless musical offerings were made to Avatar Adi Da during His Lifetime when He was spending time there.

Album design and layout by Matt Barna.

Beezone editor and teacher Ed Reither interviews devotee and teacher Frank Marrero about the first stage of life (conception to 7 years of age), as taught by Adi Da Samraj.

They discuss the first stage of life and the maladapted aspect or tendency (beyond the first 7 years of life) towards unconsciousness in forms of behavior such as sleepiness, laziness and numbness. All first stage behaviors are bodily based and it is a stage of the development of bodily autonomy.

When well adapted to the first stage of life, one can rest with ease in the body in fullness. There is discussion about Adi Da Samraj's teaching that the first stage of life has reached a stage of maturity when the child breaks the bond with the mother (two as one) so they may enjoy relationship without dependency.

Adi Da Samraj teaches all His devotees to observe and understand their maladapted patterns in the first three stages of life while maintaining a living relationship with Him in each moment.

More information on the disciplines as recommended by Adi Da Samraj can be found here.

This video is part of a more comprehensive video webinar on the seven stages of life. An introduction and index to all the videos in the webinar can be found here.

This is a track from the CD, The Ribhu Gita, the first volume in The Gnosticon Discourse Series from the Dawn Horse Press.

In a historic occasion at Walk About Joy (near Tat Sundaram Hermitage) on December 11, 2005, Avatar Adi Da Samraj reads His own renderings of portions of the epitome Non-dualist text, The Ribhu Gita. He then offers illuminating Instruction on the specific distinctions between the revelation communicated in this great text and the “Perfect Practice” of Adidam.

The collection of Avatar Adi Da’s renderings and related discourses became the seed of His book, The Gnosticon, in which He thoroughly examines the Transcendental Teachings of the ancient Sages in relation to His Transcendental Spiritual Way of Adidam.

On his new downloadable album, At the Feet of the Spiritual Master, devotee Gerald Sheinfeld tells leelas — true stories of his life of over 45 years with Avatar Adi Da Samraj. These stories begin before the first ashram opened in 1972. They provide details of how Avatar Adi Da awakened ordinary people into devotees of Real God. These stories are based on the awakened recognition of the prior Unity of Divine Reality. They are full of lessons of self-understanding and brightening heart-joy in finding the truth about God, the truth about life and death. The truth of prior Happiness which is the true Condition of all, prior to the ego-I act of separation.

Gerald has been a devotee of Adi Da since the beginning of Adi Da's work with devotees. He accompanied Adi Da on His 1973 trip to India, and has participated in countless sacred occasions and events in the company of Adi Da in the intervening years — so he has many stories to tell!

Some of those stories are on this downloadable album. This audio excerpt is track 8, "The Vision Of Love", on Gerald's downloadable album.

Gerald tells many more stories of his life of more than 45 years with Adi Da in his book,At the Feet of the Spiritual Master.
