Adi Da Samraj responds to a question from a devotee who had lost a grandchild and was asking for some understanding that might ease his sorrow. Adi Da describes how there is no answer to the pain of loss, except for Divine Realization.
Adi Da: "Sex is fundamental ego-identity, lived. And generally speaking, it is a problem for everyone. . . The social pattern of 'self' and 'other' is founded upon emotional-sexual patterning to a very great degree. . . So it certainly is an important dimension of bondage, and therefore an important aspect of sadhana. The Perfect Practice is not based on any reference to the body-mind, or any method of the body-mind."
In this Avataric Discourse (from January 21, 2005), Adi Da explains why the Perfect Practice (the most advanced development of the Way of Adidam) has nothing to do with sex (or the ego-"I" altogether), and is not a "method" of the body-mind or something to be applied to the body-mind. The Self-Condition prior to the body-mind is the domain of the Perfect Practice. The Self-Condition is not a separate "self", but the Nirvanic Condition that is always already the case, and that inherently transcends the body-mind.

For the fifteenth episode of the Integral Stage Authors Series, Layman Pascal sits down with author and Adi Da devotee, Frank Marrero, to talk about, not a book this time, but an affective writing curriculum that he developed for children. Drawing particularly on Vedic and Greek sources, but also contemporary knowledge, the curriculum introduces students to the major stages of development they can expect to pass through on the way to becoming healthy, mature, wise, affectively fluent individuals and moral agents. In the discussion that follows, Frank guides Layman through lucid, engaging descriptions each of the stages, and offers some reflections on the integration and "clean up" work adults can do if they have not successfully passed through them all.
Frank Marrero is an educator, a disciple of Adi Da, and the curator of the Beezone website. Adi Da: "God is neither within nor without. This is the principle of Satsang [the relationship with the Guru]: the Divine already present, the Divine lived with, the Divine as your Condition."

Liquid Light is a sequel of a kind to Crane's earlier album, Infinite Well. It is more ambitious, including new devotional songs by John Mackay, who also produced this album, a Chaconne by Louis Rozier, several classical pieces set to Words by Adi Da Samraj, even the duet from "The Pearlfishers!" Katharine DeBoer, Roger Ohlsen and Mel McMurrin join Crane as vocalists for this album, which also introduces some fine instrumentalists. A devotee's question about memory and a bicycle accident sparks Avatar Adi Da's Discourse about the nature of the human mechanism. Likening the mind to "cyberspace", Avatar Adi Da describes the "codes" human beings use to interpret perceptions and give apparent meaning to the "game" of life. He also exposes as an illusion the very presumption of being a separate, perceiving self. Adi Da Samraj calls everyone to relinquish the commitment to all presumptions and Awaken to that Realization which is not a state, but a Force that Spiritually Outshines all of illusory existence.
