The Trap of Experience poster: AdiDaVideos length: 04:35 date added: September 14, 2016 event date: September 1, 2004 language: English views: 2317; views this month: 11; views this week: 9 In this excerpt from an Avataric Discourse given on September 1, 2004, Adi Da addresses the fact that people tend to value good experiences and shun the bad ones. Adi Da reveals that all experience — positive or negative — is inherently binding (which may come as a surprise to many).

We experience "independent" existence as a kind of madness, a seeming separation from food (both because of the cutting of the umbilical cord and as a feeling of separation from our ultimate source of sustenance, the Very Divine). We must instead be like the eating gorilla. . .
Adi Da: "The eating gorilla finds a cabbage in the jungle, sits down like a slob and munches away at the cabbage, and is completely benign, completely peaceful. . . . Therefore, the eating gorilla is the image of the true man, the true woman. He demonstrates the principle of true politics, of real human existence, in which we are always presently connected to the Food Source in Truth, and are always presuming connection, relationship, 'I love you.' "
The True Food that Sustains Us poster: AdiDaVideos length: 04:15 date added: October 3, 2019 event date: 1977 language: English There is a “logic” or “philosophy” by which human beings convince themselves they are unloved and separated from the Source of existence. Identifying with the food-body and its inevitable mortality, people are anxious and lose the connection with True Sustenance. The principle of true human existence and happiness is discovery and recognition of the inherent state of non-separation, which is native and perfectly sustaining to all life.
The True Nature of Reality poster: AdiDaVideos length: 03:13 date added: August 5, 2015 language: English event speaker: Nick Elias views: 3433; views this month: 7; views this week: 2 In this excerpt from the film, "Reality, Truth and Conscious Light", Adi Da describes Reality from the "point of view" of Conscious Light. The Unity of Humankind poster: AdiDaVideos length: 09:46 date added: July 27, 2013 event date: August 22, 2004 language: English views: 4988; views this month: 12; views this week: 6 Excerpt from the Avataric Discourse of August 22, 2004.
Adi Da describes how humankind is a single family, a single species in "diaspora" — dispersed across the earth as the result of migrations from a single point of origin (in Africa) thousands of years ago. Making much of superficial differences due to race, nation, religion, language, tribe, political system, etc. obscures this more fundamental, deeper reality of the unity of humankind. For the sake of everyone's survival, humankind must begin to live on the basis of its unity, and establish a global cooperative order that includes and serves everyone.tags: Avataric Discoursepeace comments: 2
The Universal World-Prayer poster: AdiDaVideos length: 03:32 date added: April 28, 2015 language: Finnish event speaker: Jacqueline Clemons views: 8068; views this month: 43; views this week: 25
Beloved, Inmost Heart of every heart, donotLet our human hearts be broken by our merely mortal suffering here — but Make our mortal human hearts break-Free to an unconditional love of You, that we may, Thus, love all living beings with Love's own True, and Truly broken, Heart.
Composed by Jacqueline Clemons and Nick Milo, and sung by Jacqueline Clemons, this soulful rendition of Adi Da's prayer for world peace, "The Universal World-Prayer", was sung many times at The Parliament of the World's Religions in Cape Town, South Africa, in December, 1999.
The song accompanies a slideshow of pictures of Adi Da.
We live the Law backwards. Instead of living from the point of view of Happiness, love of God, submission to the Transcendental Reality, we live in submission to others, objects, relations.
The Virtue of Positive Disillusionment poster: AdiDaVideos length: 19:38 date added: January 3, 2018 language: English views: 3310; views this month: 25; views this week: 7 In this excerpt from a never-before-published discourse, Adi Da speaks about the necessity to become disillusioned with mortal life in a positive sense. Positive disillusionment is emerging when one begins to understand and relinquish the stressful and ultimately futile search for personal survival, worldly happiness, and ultimate life fulfillment. Only then can one be drawn into recognizing, learning about, and ecstatically participating in Reality Itself, in relationship to a True Realizer.tags: Avataric Discourse comments: 2

Avatar Adi Da communicates both verbally and through bodily gestures that the assumption of a separate self or ego self is an illusion and not the truth of Reality itself.tags: Avataric Discourse

In this excerpt, Adi Da Samraj considers the spiritual transformation of a human being, and states of the body-mind. The real spiritual process is not based on effort or having more (or greater) experiences, even in the mystical dimension. In the true spiritual process, experience, in all its forms (first physical and then mystical), must be transcended through our heart-based practice of God-Communion.tags: DVD
There Is No Self Within poster: AdiDaVideos length: 07:20 date added: May 29, 2015 event date: July 15, 1973 language: English views: 3370; views this month: 12; views this week: 3 An archival talk from July 15, 1973. One of the earliest video recordings of Avatar Adi Da speaking. Here He talks about the Free State of the fully Realized being, which is neither inward nor outward.
Adi Da: "God is neither within nor without. This is the principle of Satsang [the relationship with the Guru]: the Divine already present, the Divine lived with, the Divine as your Condition." comments: 3
There Is No Separate Self poster: AdiDaVideos length: 09:29 date added: October 19, 2017 language: English views: 2708; views this month: 24; views this week: 14 In this discourse excerpt, Adi Da addresses the fact that the assumption of a separate self or being, is not really the case. It is, in fact, an illusion — a "lie" that rules our entire life. But based on this assumption, we assume all kinds of limitations, and struggle to get out of our suffering through the very means (our assumption that we are separate) which binds us in the first place. All that does is reinforce the illusion.
At 7:07, there is Darshan of Adi Da, continuing to 9:09.
This Must Be Realized poster: AdiDaVideos length: 09:48 date added: August 19, 2014 event date: November 11, 2005 language: English views: 4044; views this month: 9; views this week: 2 In this Discourse (which took place on November 11, 2005 at The Mountain Of Attention), Avatar Adi Da answers a devotee's question about the human condition. He criticizes reductive viewpoints (scientific, religious, etc.) that try to account for a multi-level phenomenon (such as evolution) in terms of just one level (the gross level of bodies), ignoring other levels that participate in the phenomenon (the impact of subtle or "mind" level influences on evolution, the impact of molecular level influences on evolution, etc.). He also criticizes the presumption that everything can be explained, and points out that the multi-level phenomenon that is life and experience is (when fully examined) so complex that it is "irreducible", beyond comprehension. Beyond all the apparent (and incomprehensible) arising that is conditional existence is the indivisible Conscious Light in which all is arising. To Realize Conscious Light is to be liberated from all need for explanations. As Adi Da puts it: "When It is Realized, it becomes entirely clear what everything is and how it is happening."tags: Avataric Discourse
