2. Primary Identity Shifts in the Way of Adidam

| This is Part IV-D, Chapter 2 of Chris Tong's book, Finding the Divine In Person and Waking Up From the Dream.[1] | |
The meaning of "understanding" ("standing under" or "standing prior").
Positions where you can stand (associated with identity release and identity shift):
- head
- whole body
- Transcendental Root-Standing
- the Sphere of the "Thumbs"
- Consciousness
- Conscious Light
The "organism" consideration
Adi Da gifted us with the preliminary "Perfect Knowledge" Listening-practice of Transcendental Root-Standing on March 14, 2026.
Body identification and self-contraction are very closely related. So anything that helps relax body identification serves self-understanding. Here are some practices that Adi Da has given over the years, for that purpose:
- Loose clothing around the abdomen. This is particularly important as one is learning to transcend the vital shock in the core of the abdomen. The last thing one needs is something like a tight belt or tight jeans that add to the feeling of constriction!
- Light sheets and blankets in bed.
- Dancing that is not necessarily bodily in synch with the music, but focused more on a feeling-response to the music.
