This video clip is an excerpt from Second Evening: Track 2 on the DVD, A Tribute to the Life and Work of His Divine Presence, Adi Da Samraj. More than 7 hours long, this Tribute DVD (more than 7 hours long) was filmed on the occasion of the first Anniversary of Adi Da's Divine Mahasamadhi, when devotees, family, and friends of Adi Da Samraj gathered at Adi Da Samrajashram, Fiji (Adi Da's principal Hermitage), to acknowledge Adi Da as the Divine in human form, to praise His Greatness, and to express their heart-felt gratitude for the Blessings they have received from Him.

Tut dies in dem Ihr jedes Ding und jede Erfahrung, alles Wissen, alle Beziehung oder allem was nicht Glück ist entsagt (oder transzendiert). Finde das Glück in jedem Moment, nehme das Glück an sich wahr und Sei das Glück an sich. Tue dies in jedem Augenblick. Das Ego-"Ich" oder der selbstverkrampfte Körper-Geist. ist immer eine Illusion, eine und. . . He responds to a devotee who is wanting to go beyond his "limitation on love". Adi Da makes the point that this is not possible merely via idealism and will. One's current limit on love is due to an as yet uninspected resistance to love. Only through self-understanding (and disciplines that serve self-understanding) can one transcend this limit.

No one like me has appeared in this place before. Am I only to live and die, and thus feed the earth? Should I only live and die, and thus create the mystery of a holy ground? Will generations pass this place of my dilemmas, feel the movements under foot and never know the reasons and the meaning of the currents of bliss that fill them? Will the earth itself perform my only shout? Will the rot of my few bodies be my only song? Will no one understand? Will all of this, even the holy ground, fall unknown into the sea, without a parcel of my living left to heal the feet of pilgrims? No one else can suffer the mysteries of my birth or death. And only my own children can build a temple where I rise and fall.

Some of the questions Adi Da addresses in the full talk are: What is a Divine experience? Who is God that God could be identified over against anything whatsoever? Who is a Spiritual Master if He can find Himself apart from God, such that He could say: “This piece is Me and this piece is God”? How could such distinctions continue in the consciousness of one who has Realized the Divine?
