In the Introduction, I estimated that 95% of all spiritual seekers are spiritual materialists: they "use" spirituality and spiritual resources (the Law of Attraction, prayer, etc.) for non-spiritual (material) ends: better relationships; improved health; more wealth, power, or fame; a little peace of mind; etc. But because their focus is exclusively material, their gains are largely lost at the time of the death of their physical body. In contrast, the focus of the remaining 5% of spiritual seekers is a Spiritual Realization capable of persisting beyond the death of their physical body: a greater connection with a greater-than-material dimension or the ability to stably reside in one of those greater-than-material dimensions. In the Way of Adidam, the ultimate end is God-Realization: the complete Awakening from all limited dimensions, even spiritual ones.
The Devotional Prayer of Changes is an extraordinary gift given to devotees by Adi Da, enabling us to make use of His Divine Power to make miraculous changes (including ones that better our material lives, like the Law of Attraction) in the dream that is the universe, even as our spiritual practice focuses on Waking Up from the dream altogether. My own adventures with using the Devotional Prayer of Changes to produce very useful miracles (e.g. curing prostate cancer) will be the focus of this Part.
Adi Da has always emphasized that we communicate — to a world overrun and depressed by the materialistic viewpoint — that miracles do happen, and document all the miracles that occurred around Him during His lifetime and after:
It is important to speak about the supernormal characteristics of My Divine Avataric Lifetime from Birth, to tell the stories of your being in the Company of One Who Functions on a supernormal basis.
You should speak about the prevention of huge storms [ed: one example here] and various other kinds of miraculous happenings, which you all have witnessed repeatedly for over thirty-five years. You must tell the Story of the Lifetime of One Whose Presence here makes a difference, and proves things that are otherwise commonly dismissed.
You must tell the Story of My Blessing-Transmission-Work — how I Awakened people to every possible kind of phenomenal "experience" associated with the first six stages of life, and proved, by miraculous Transcendental Spiritual Demonstration, that none of that was "It". That is a necessary Story — because It Communicates fundamental Truth to human beings.
This whole "trash world without a miracle in it" needs to be told about the Divine Avataric Intervention here. The world must hear from you about it. Tell the story and present the evidence, as people who understand.
You must set Me apart, based [on your confession of your recognition of Me as the Divine, and therefore] on your confession that I am what your lives are all about.

These miracles occurred because, as the human Incarnation of the Divine, Adi Da had direct access to the Power or "Virtue" of the Divine. But what occurred through His bodily (human) form during His human lifetime was only the beginning of the Emergence of the Divine in this material plane. Adi Da has described how all of His devotees, by virtue of being in Divine Communion with Him, have access to that same Power, and thus are also capable of performing a diversity of extraordinary miracles, including those miracles required to serve the ongoing Emergence of the Divine in the material dimension — allowing His devotees to take responsibility for much of the Work He was doing during His human lifetime:
Devotional recognition of Me is a life-transforming response. Devotional recognition-response to Me makes your life utterly different — from then on. Devotional recognition-response to Me purifies you, and instantly gives you qualifications that you could not possibly acquire by any kind of working on yourself.
Your responsibility does not depend on your "creature"-power or ego-power. It depends on your participation in Me, and on your engaging in the practices that establish your own mechanism as the means for the very same things you are presently calling on Me to Do by what may look to you to be My Personal Intention.
This is another characteristic of My Sign and My Demonstration of My Divine Indifference. I have Shown you how to do everything. Now your Devotional Prayer of Changes becomes effective because you use My Virtue, through your practice of whole bodily devotional turning to Me, and through your taking your responsibilities seriously rather than imagining that they are only mysterious obligations that have nothing to do with you. You are drawing on My Virtue simply by practicing the Devotional Prayer of Changes, or true whole bodily devotional turning to Me. You allow your own mechanism to become the means.
My devotees are to provide the body-minds whereby My Virtue becomes Effective. If you will really do so, then changes will occur. Yes, they will be changes that I have Made, but in the fashion I have just Described to you.
So it will be forever. That My devotees have received the Secret of whole bodily devotional turning to Me allows My Divine Translation. It allows Me to be Effective forever throughout the cosmic domain. My Virtue Changes things and Enlightens beings, and It Works, because My devotees assume their responsibilities by embracing the practices I have Given them, doing those practices for real, and using My Virtue.
When the time comes that This Body dies, I will not disappear. I will be wholly Available to you. I will be Effective forever — Fully Conscious, Self-Radiant, never gone, never separate.
In devotional Communion with Me, you associate with, participate in, and draw upon My Own Virtue. That is the Secret of devotional Communion with Me. It has always been the case, but you did not know the Secret. I have Come to Reveal That Secret and to Establish the Fullest Instruction. By your devotional recognition-response to Me, you give Me the Mechanism to Do the same kind of Work I have been Doing in My bodily (human) Lifetime here. I will be Incarnated countlessly by Means of this Process.
So this Part of my book is one devotee's confession of what Adi Da is describing here — the inheritance of His Divine Power by His devotees in Divine Communion with Him — which I'll illustrate with a wide variety of miracles. These miracles are not the ultimate point of the Way of Adidam, which is not about any changes in the dream of conditional existence, but is instead about Waking Up altogether from the dream. But such miracles do play a secondary and supportive role in that Waking Up process, by creating conditions that serve Waking Up, and removing obstructions to the Waking Up process.
Also, the recount of such miracles is itself an important element at the beginning of the Waking Up process, helping the reader shift to a larger view of Reality than the limited, material view. My earlier chapter, A Greater-Than-Material Universe, also served that purpose by recounting extraordinary, greater-than-material experiences throughout my life (like having a UFO hover silently over my head for a significant period of time). However, while most of those wondrous experiences were ones that happened to me, this Part is all about "sitting in the driver's seat", and drawing upon the Power of the Divine to intentionally create and direct specific, wondrous outcomes.
Here is an overview of this Part:
- In the first chapter, I'll write about using the Devotional Prayer of Changes to heal computers, from 1995 to the present.
- Then I'll write about using the Prayer to cure prostate cancer in 2019.
- Then I'll describe stopping a bout of sudden aging of the body in 2023, using the Prayer. [COMING SOON]

- Then I'll recount how I developed a facility for redirecting thunderstorms away from my house in Virginia (as well as dissipating their force), starting in late 2024. [COMING SOON]
- Finally, I'll write of how I got one of the songs I wrote and recorded on Taylor Swift's YouTube channel, in front of her 40 million YouTube followers (and in front of her) in 2020.
- In a summary chapter, I'll provide key lessons and concepts I learned from all these adventures, which made all the difference in engaging the Prayer in a way that actually bore fruit. [COMING SOON]
Our existence has three primary dimensions. There is the body and its whole elemental realm. There is the mind or psyche and its whole realm. And there is the Transcendental or Divine Condition of the body-mind and the unqualified Field in which it exists. These three dimensions correspond to three kinds of magic. “Earth magic” relates to the field of the body and to the body itself. “Sky magic” relates to the field of the psyche or mind. “Transcendental magic” relates to the whole matter of the realization of Truth, or submission to the Radiant Transcendental Being and the Field of infinite existence. . .
Whenever one of the three primary dimensions of magic is separated from the others and developed independently, certain characteristic limitations tend to develop. . .
The point of view of the Teaching and Way of practice in our Fellowship is that of Transcendental understanding rightly conceived, and fully associated with the total spectrum of psycho-physical phenomena. Therefore, our cultural orientation and practice relate to all the features of magic that have been present in the world since ancient times. Earth magic, sky magic, and transcendental magic are all associated with our practice and our consideration. In this Way, however, all of them achieve a balanced economy relative to one another, and all of them are expressed through a dynamic practice in which all three fundamental dimensions of our existence are associated with the process of ultimate realization. Thus, in this Way the magical fullness of human existence is expressed.
